The VD-2 is the dock your robot finds on its own. Infrared guidance beacons and a floor-level fiducial let compatible humanoids self-align and connect to the 1500W contact pad without human help, day or night. Charging a standard 1.2 kWh pack takes about 90 minutes; overnight trickle mode reduces current to maximize long-term cell health. The spring-loaded contact array is rated for 10,000 mating cycles and shrugs off dust and misalignment up to 15 mm. Install it flat against a wall or freestanding with the included floor plate; cable management channels keep the 2-meter power lead tidy either way.
