About this item
- DROP-IN UPGRADE: standardized shoulder interface with power and EtherCAT passthrough lets technicians swap a complete arm in under 30 minutes.
- 6 KG PER-ARM PAYLOAD: seven series-elastic joints lift more while maintaining the compliant, safe behavior required around human coworkers.
- INTEGRATED WRIST F/T SENSING: built-in six-axis force-torque sensor enables precise insertion, polishing and assembly without an external sensor puck.
- 40 PERCENT FASTER FORCE CONTROL: improved bandwidth over the KA-5 makes contact-rich tasks smoother, faster and measurably more repeatable.
- ZERO WORKFLOW CHANGES: presents as a native KL device, so existing programs run unmodified while new compliance modes await enabling.

Product description
The KA-6 is Kinetiq's latest-generation arm, offered as a drop-in upgrade for existing KL-3 and KL-7 humanoids. Seven series-elastic joints raise per-arm payload to 6 kg while improving force control bandwidth by 40 percent over the KA-5, making compliant insertion, polishing and machine-tending tasks noticeably smoother. An integrated six-axis force-torque sensor at the wrist eliminates the external sensor puck of previous generations, shortening the arm by 24 mm and cleaning up cable routing. The standardized shoulder interface carries power, EtherCAT and coolant passthrough, so a trained technician can swap an arm in under 30 minutes. Firmware presents the KA-6 as a native device to the KL control stack; existing workflows run unmodified, then improve as you enable the new compliance modes.
